Aya Sofya - Hagia Sophia

The first church on Constantinople was built by Constantine the Great in AD 326. It is a church-turned mosque-turned museum. It is famous in particular for its gorgeous domes. It is epitome of Byzantine architecture and is said to have change the history of architecture. It is considered that the total cost of building was 360 hundredweight of gold and that about ten thousand workmen were employed in its construction.

            Bosphorus   What a brilliant night in Istanbul. Bosphorus illuminates both Europe and Asia. Ferries operate  side to side. Every place, every living just looking there. Just watching there.    From top of the Topkapı palace, inside of the Dolmabahce Palace, some part of Rumelihisarı we can see this beauty. No matter how far it is gleaming.  One day I saw a foreigner in the ferry of the princes' islands. He looked like from South Korea. I went to him and said "Hi!". I talked to him. He came Istanbul for travelling. He said some places which is well-known by foreigners and he said like bo-zich-hi. I couldn't understand it. He corrected in English "Bosphorus". He was just trying to say "bo-ğaz i-çi" sounds like "boh-haz- ee-chee".
